The camera business has made incredible advances since moving into the age of digital technology. It has allowed them to produce images that otherwise would be difficult due to speed of movement or lack of light. The problem for the camera industry is that smaller devices such as smart-phones have also improved to the point that many people no longer require a dedicated camera.
Markets have then shrunk and new leading edge technology has been slow to develop. Money is tighter than ever before for many and so the industry is in a challenging position. Part of the aim of this website is to document as much of the data as possible that is available to predict the future path of this industry.
